Snacking on Media Literacy: Young Children, Sustainability, & Design in Media Literacy Education
Congratulations to AML Director Chelsea Attwell on the publication of her innovative media literacy research in the Journal of Sustainability Education (May 4, 2020). This article outlines creative ways to provide a cross-curricular learning experience at the Primary level. It is anchored in standards, where teachers and students actively engage in co-constructed, inquiry-based learning and design thinking. The particular question this case study addresses is “How might students connect with environmental citizenship in authentic ways through media literacy experiences?”
